Do you think the wheel of time series will ever be made into a movei(s)? Or is it just too big, complex, and will take far to muvh money and time to make? Maybe they will make it using 3D-graphics. (Like someone is doing dragonmount now?) What about the different charachters? Who would you like play whom? Lemme think about that one for a sec..

As for whether they will make a movie, I think it's entirely possible but not somewhere in the near future. I think that movie producers are only just latching on to the fact that sci-fi/fantasy movies are the biggest money makers (or perhaps they always have known, but they're only now becoming more possible)... and I think Lord of the Rings has paved the way for many new fantasy movies However, I don't think it will be for a while, because they're going to have to take a long time considering how many movies they will make... how they're going to edit it etc. As for who will play whom, I love to think about that but I can never come to any sort of answer. One of my friends suggested a boy from American Pie (? Havn't seen it myself, so I can't name names) for Mat... she said he had a "cheeky" look. Someone else suggested Liam Neeson for Lan. Maybe someone like Claire Danes for Egwene, even though I hated her portryal of Cosette... Hayden Christensen for Rand? I have no idea who could play Nyn... o.O Anyway, I'm babbling now. Who do you think should play who?

I think Heath Ledger (First Knight, The Patriot) should be Rand.
How 'bout Jennifer LOve Hewitt as Nynaeve. I prefer Minnie Driver but maybe she is too old for the role?

I once heard someone saying Kate Winslet should play Nynaeve and I think that would indeed be a great idea. Though the color of her eyes and hair doesn't match with Nynaeve's, for the rest she looks exactly like the Nynaeve in my head. Plus she's a great actress and would really do Nynaeve justice. Some other roles: Gareth Bryne = Sean Connery. Jordan must have had him in mind when he made Bryne up. A perfect match! Lan = that guy that plays James Bond. I always forget his name. Anyway, the hair and the eyes match and someone who can play James Bond, must be able to play Lan, as well. Sevanna = Angelina Jolie. Or perhaps she should play Graendal. I'm not sure. I'll have to think about this some more. I'll have to find a role for Orlando Bloom, since Angelina J gets a part in the movie as well... ;D Wolf: I don't think tWoT series will ever be made into a movie, though. A mini series, as was planned some years ago, of the first book would be possible. The whole series is just too complex, though, to make a movie or a mini series of it. There would be far too many actors and special effects needed to make it look realistic. That would be far too expensive. And I don't think they could tell the story very well on screen, even if the money was available.

Hair- and eyecolour are changeable, just like mine. Kate Winslet as Nynaeve is fine by me. Gareth Bryne = Sean Connery. Jordan must have had him in mind when he made Bryne up. A perfect match! Agree. Lan = that guy that plays James Bond. I always forget his name. Anyway, the hair and the eyes match and someone who can play James Bond, must be able to play Lan, as well. Nooo! You can't be serious! Pierce Brosnan as Lan? No way, Pierce is way too contrived. Lan should be played by someone like Val Kilmner (the guy from Willow). Pierce is too 'English'. Sevanna = Angelina Jolie. Or perhaps she should play Graendal. I'm not sure. I was thinking more about a role like Lanfear for Angelina Jolie. I'll have to think about this some more. I'll have to find a role for Orlando Bloom, since Angelina J gets a part in the movie as well... ;D Wolf: *Giggles* Orlando Bloom would make a nice Mat, I suppose. By the way, this Dutch guy who plays Lurch in the Addams Family should play Loial...

If they did it right they would have to use over 1000 actors... They might take a part at a time... Lets say the Action from the time Mat gets to Salidar until the Inn falls on him... This would give a big part to Nynaeve also....
Even this much would require about a a hundred actors... The Kin, the Seafolk, the Dark Friends and Aes Sedai...
It would be very expensive and time consuming to do all the books several things would have to be dropped....

Hmm...I'm not sure I want there to be a movie, as it's so long and complex it would be very difficult to do well, but this is my cast so far: 1. a’Lan Mandragoran –Richard Gere [not quite the right age for Lan, but he has the strong, melancholy-ish countenance I see in Lan] 2. Aviendha –Svetlana Khorkina [she’s a bit short for an Aiel –5’5 –but looks Aiel otherwise, besides having a notoriously proud, dramatic personality –the gymnastics would probably help a lot in fighting scenes] 3. Bain –Jennifer Garner [the whole “action girl” image, but with a “cute” personality] 4. Egwene al’Vere–Anna Paquin 5. Elayne Trakand –Kate Bosworth [the whole “cute blonde” factor…plus my warped sense of humor thinks it be great for her and “Orli” to play siblings] 6. Else Grinwell –Lindsey Lohan [Else is annoying and thinks she’s awesome] 7. Gaidel Cain –Russell Crowe 8. Galad –Orlando Bloom [because he tends to play characters who are sO straight-laced and all the girls think he’s sO gOrgiOus] 9. Gholam –Adrian Brody [I’m thinking along the lines of Noah-when-he’s-knifing-someone in The Village…could be very comically creepy…he’s a great actor, but I can’t think of any other WoT roles for him…] 10. Ilyena –Sienna Guillory [Ilyena doesn’t really do much, but Sienna has the kind of pale beauty I pictured in her] 11. Lanfear –Catherine Zeta-Jones [just very, very beautiful in the way I pictured Lanfear] 12. Liandrin –Gwyneth Paltrow [she’s good at serious, controlling, but perky roles] 13. Mat Cauthon –Shane West [face it: you are in no way ever going to have a movie Mat anywhere near as cool as the book Mat…So, Shane is a heartthrob, but he fits the bill as well as any other actor I can think of –the small town/bad boy/reluctant hero] 14. Melindhra –Uma Thurmann [she has the type of look I would expect in an Aiel, and is apparently very good in fighting scenes] 15. Nynaeve al’Maera –Winona Ryder [my favorite actress ever –first impulse would be Noni-as-Min, but I think it’s better to break the typecast a little –she can play stubborn, outspoken, but still awesome characters, too] 16. Padan Fain –Johnny Depp [because he’d be a great villain-ingratiating-himself, and Fain’s a pretty forceful character –and for some reason the characters take a long time to not like him when they know he’s evil --so I think he should be allowed to steal the show a little] 17. Rahvin –Antonio Banderas [the whole “Latin Lover” image…and he's very handsome, but far too suave] 18. Rand al’Thor –Tom Welling [on Smallville, he is a somewhat dopey guy coping with magic powers and whom multiple women are always unexplicably falling in love with] 19. Siuan Sanche –Megan Follows [Siuan is a contradictory character –raucous as the fisherman’s daughter…commanding as the Amyrlin Seat…apprehensive as the stilled woman –Megan is one of the few who could play her without being obnoxious and/or implausible] --She played Anne of Green Gables in the 80's
I've got more, but I doubt anyone wants to hear fifty-thousand names right now.

Can't say I agree with all of your choices (can't even say I know all the actors you mentioned), but I did enjoy reading the list. So, if you'd post the other 50 000 names as well, I wouldn't mind at all. (Or 50... that would be great, too. I don't even know that there are 50 000 characters in tWoT...)

Hey, just trying to open up debate here...what would be some of your other casting choices?
And yeah, I'm one of those geeks who knows pretty much everyone who goes in or out of Hollywood, so it's totally okay if some of my choices are unfamiliar.

Anyway, here's a few more. I guarantee I'll end up posting more eventually & will probably succeed in making all you guys sick of this whole subject.
20. Berelain –Keira Knightley [she doesn’t really fit the physical description of Berelain, but I can see her as the personality] 21. Birgitte –Reese Withersthingy [okay, I doubt anyone will agree with me on this one, but the way I picture Birgitte is she’s very tough, but seems girly and flirty…hence, Reese Withersthingy] 22. Graendal –Charlize Theron [she can be evil & she can be complex & she can be very delicate-seeming –I think, though I’ve heard a lot of people suggest Angelina Jolie for this role, that Graendel should be very different from Lanfear & should not seem as powerful] 23. Elyas Machera –Ray Winstone [in King Arthur, he plays a rough-edged character who’s not as tough as he seems…and I think he’d look cool with wolf-eyes] 24. Halima –Salma Hayak [she’s so sickeningly beautiful in that way that really looks like some guy designed her] 25. Moirane –Helena Bonham Carter [she’s a good actress, and was one of my candidates for Nynaeve, actually…she could play a very strong woman & she seems like a “pretty little porcelain doll”] 26. Myrelle –Jennifer Love Hewitt 27. Tallanvor –Ewan McGregor [his characters can be very poetic and charming & he does good swashbuckling scenes]

And yet more...
28. Beslan – Eric Balfour [mostly my excuse to have his pretty face somewhere in the movie] 29. Inn Singers –Blackmore’s Night [there are several scenes in the story where characters listen to people singing in an inn…I am convinced that Blackmore’s Night –a lesser-known medieval-tinged band –should be in at least one of these scenes] 30. Mazrim Taim –Stuart Townsend [he just seems like a guy who could channel, and he’s not macho enough for Logain, so I’m casting him as yet ANOTHER of my WoT crushes] 31. Elaida --Glenn Close [she's scary] 32. Morgase --Currently, my choice is Sigourney Weaver, but it keeps changing

Okay, okay, one more and then I'll shut up on this subject for a while. I have finally found a good Nynaeve.
I know, I had Winona Ryder down for the role, but that's just because I'm one of those weird people who likes her a lot & always wants her to get the good roles.
I had thought of Kate Winslet, who is famous for sweet, but prissy & self-centered roles, but my mind cannot picture her anywhere near the Two Rivers. Just My problem.
I had thought Laura San Giacomo would be interesting [the movie Quigley Down Under proves that she is a very good actress] --but she's too old for the role & the sitcom Just Shoot Me, for which she is currently most famous for, makes her seem a little TEXTtooTEXT funny.
I considered Jennifer Love Hewitt, but she seems just a little too cutesy for Nynaeve --strong, yes, but cutesy.
Helena Bonham Carter might be okay, but I casted her as Moiraine.
So who is this person I have bored you so far with the introduction to?
Sigrid Thornton, the Australian actress who played Jessica in 1982's The Man from Snowy River, would have been great.
--she can be tough, ranty, but gentle-enough-to-be-a-healer --she is pretty, but wouldn't be as gorgeous as Lanfear...has a unique sort of look --she's very feminine [in Snowy River, she's VICTORIAN] but I could see her living in the Two Rivers --she looks pretty in blue and green --she wouldn't be TEXTtooTEXT tall
The problem? She is currently 45-years-old, and does in no way look TEXTbadTEXT, but Nynaeve is a very young-looking 26.
That is the only real problem I can find with her in the role.
Now I can shut up about this for a while, having found the would-have-been-ideal-if-we-were-in-1982 Nynaeve.

*trying to think of another actress who reminds me of a bird-like porcelain doll* Great, now you've got me started up again. Well, you're the one who dismissed Kate Winslet for Nynaeve. We would have been fine, you know! ;D
