I just read Taardad theory about "Who was Nynaeve in the Age of Legend?". And there is something I wonder about.
One of the forsaken said somewhere (I don't remember who or where but think it was a woman) that she had never hered about one particular person being reborn in to another age, like LTT/Rand.
So the only way to do so is by being bount to the horn of Valera. To be bound to the horn you have to do an heroic deed. So I wonder, is Nynaeve a hero of the horn?? Think about it, she was there on falme when it got blowed!
Anyway, if thats true Oliver can't be Gaidal Cain, becouse he wasn't there (I can't say that for sure though) and he was eight then.

Hm, there was some healer in the Age of Legends. Don't know her name, though. Nynaeve could be her.
She does not *have* to be a person from the Age of Legends, though.
I changed the topic name, for there will be a lot of spoilers in this thread.

All people are reborn in the wheel of time. Only no one knows in advance who will be reborn.
In the case of LTT people know he will be reborn.
And Rand is considered to be the reborn LTT.
But normal people also will be reborn, so it is quite possible nynaeve's soul lived in the Age of Legends.
It would be fun if it was latra posea Necume or whatever her name was.

i was rereading tFoH and thom recited a tale about the soldier queen or wutever from the trolloc wars. birg says to nyn in a whisper 'she had a temper like a something or other not at all like someone we know.' the someone we know was obviously supposed to be nyn. maybe she is nyn reborn.

I don't know who Nynaeve was supposed to be in an ancient past ...
There is one thing that has always bugged me about {Falme at the end of tGH}
When Rand was stabbed in the side, Egwene, Min and Elayne felt a need to find Rand... And Rand had a feeling that if he didn't save Egwene parts of his life would be incomplete... He at that point didn't know that Elayne and Min were there also...
But Nynaeve did not seem to be part of it....
She did not feel Rand like the others did....
Yet she has become a very big part of the picture in the later books.... It is strange...

Love? All of the other girls have loved Rand at a time of their lives. Nynaeve didn't.

I also feel that there is something coming up in the series where {Rand and Egwene} will have to do something together to help save the world...
book #11 might be the book where Nynaeve and Perrin hook back up...
She has already spent a lot of time with Mat and Rand...
I think that in book 11 Perrin, Mat and Rand will meet...They have not been together since the beginning of tSR....

I think she is reborn of that queen of Manetheren, the one that took all that OP to destroy the trollocs and dreadlords and died because she took so much.I can't remember her name. Nynaeve is from the Manetheren area, and her mother's name was Elnore, which I think was something like the queen's name.

Eldrene ay carlan was her name, nicknamed ellisande, which means the rose of the sun.
there is also some evidence when in tGH in the accepted T'A nyn felt aginor channeling, some believe that that was just what she believed she would feel and the accepteds test made it so, but i believe that since nyn has not channeld much by that time, and has been next to rand channeling and never felt anything like that, that this is actually a form of nyn detecting men channeling. also in LoC when moggy is teaching el and nyn how to detect men channeling nyn picks it up much quicker than el does even though none of them get it fully.

I have always felt that Egwene is that ancient Queen of Menetheran...It just makes more since...it was an Amyrlin that betrayed the Queen and now that Queen is the Amyrlin...everything goes in circles in {The Wheel of Time}

Nice suggestions, but Nyn could just as well be any Sue Doe from the AoL...

It is very unlikely that we will ever find out who everyone was in an ancient past....
But my vote is that Perrin is the ancient King of Menetheran.
And Egwene is the Queen.
And Mat was a Menetheran General.

Yes! That had me a bit creeped out in EOTW...me & my warped mind thought Mr. Always-nice Perrin was going to run off with the girl or something.
That was before I knew anything about the books.
