CoT Spolier
rand in book 10 wonders why his nausea and dizziness from the taint didnt go away with the taint on saidin when he and nyn clunse it. (clunse? cleaned?) rand is a wilder. he was not trained in the black tower he founded it (founded? fund? again) he is a wilder. moir described the reaction as a spell of diziness and unable to talk so maybe the nausea is just like that except hes a wilder with saidin so he gets nautious. moir also said the reactions get closer and closer untill the come at once then they dissappear. in book 1 rand gets sick for a week in baerlon after washing away bela's exertion riding from the Two Rivers. and the sickness got closer and closer untill they HAPPEND AT ONCE!!! ther we go, rand's dizziness is because hes a wilder and will go away after a while and since hes gotten his training he should not die from wasting sickness. so ther ya go! why rand is nautious after the taint is cleansed.
End spoiler

Simple because the sickness caused by the taint is going to disappear because the taint is gone. Like RJ said: [ al'Lan Mandragoran> When/ If Rand manages to remove the taint placed on saidin, are the people infected with it cured? or does their condition remain the way it is? [@r-JORDAN> when/if the taint is removed from saidin further ill effects are stopped but what has already occured remains

Ofcourse, if not then they could just gentle then heal the person inflited with the taint, and then keep it on bay. That atleast make perfect sense, but the sickness rand experienced was before he knowed he could chanel. After the cleansing he had faced very many forsaken and beat them, so it would be a little wierd if the sickness come back now. But ofcourse to cleans the taint it requaier a lot of the one power. but then, why is not Nynaeve sick?

And the sickness you described in the eye of the world from RAnd. Nynaeve also had got the sickness, but the ill effects also stopped when she learned some kind of control. Just like Rand's did.

no rand is still sick even after the taint is cleansed. the sickness is NOT caused by the taint or else the sickness would be gone. but this brings up a new question, maybe the taint isnt fullly cleansed....

M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O -U-S-EEEEEE! "You? No!" Submitted by Arylaina Posted on 9/21/2001 10:27:25 AM After minutes of theorizing, I believe I have discovered Asmo's killer! Yep(rubs hands gleefully), won't they be amazed? It couldn't have been another one of the Dark One's minions, Forsaken or otherwise. He would have expected at least some sort of treachery from any of his former cronies. So it had to be someone he'd never expect. Someone to whom he would say, "You? No!" This is where Mickey Mouse fits in. It so happens that, before he became a turncoat, Asmodean had found a stasis box. All it contained was one of those ancient and wonderful devices known as Vu'mah'stars, complete with the story of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." Imagine Asmodean's shock when he encountered that red-robed mouse, sworn to combat all forms of evil, manmade or otherwise! Mickey couldn't possibly know that Asmodean had gone over, so he struck him down where he stood. At this point, some of you are asking, "So where's this supermouse been hiding out?" In a crummy little rented room above an inn on the Calpene Peninsula in Tanchico, that's where! "Why?" you say? Because who on earth would look for him there??? Would you have looked there? Having completed his task, Mickey returned to his room above The Broken Broomstick to await the Last Battle, where he, Pluto (undercover as a Darkhound), Goofy(a Whitecloak in disguise), and Minnie(of the Green Ajah, I know her well), will fight side by side with the Dragon. Isn't it so obvious now...

In the dream Rand had in {tEotW} Thom said "The land is one with the Dragon, and the Dragon is one with the land"
The land is sick because of the DO, and it will not be well until Rand puts the DO back in his Prison....
Rand will not be well until the land is well...

I will also say that the wound in Rand's side is from the Dark One...
So his body harbors part of the taint...all the Ashaman are free and clear even Logain...but none of them have been wounded by the Dark Side...
At TG and the sun rises on the same day twice we will see a new Rand emerge from the ashes...

The Dragon Reborn is one with the land...and the land is one with the Dragon Reborn...the land is sick and Rand is sick...
