We do all read quite often, right? Do we all watch movies as well? This is a thread to talk about movies you've seen, movies you like, movies you don't like, movies you want to see, movies you think everybody should see and so on.
This week, I saw a scene from "Minority Report", with Tom Cruise. I was quite enthusiast about it, so I'm planning to see it in the very nearby future. Has anyone of you already seen this movie? Did you like it?

I saw this movie some time ago, and I was indeed a good movie. Lots of cool special-effects, and a overall good story, but for some reason I can't remember, I was quite dissapointed by the ending.

Hm... That's not a good prospect. The ending is what makes the movie good or not, in my opinion, for the ending is what will be remembered most. "The Sixth Sense", for example, is a nice movie. Not like: ow, it's great! Until the end... Then it's like: wow! How can this be? I need to see it again! Ah well, I will see "Minority Report" anyway.

Well... we (Wolf and I) went to the videotheque this afternoon and they did have 'Minority Report', but we decided to get another movie instead. It's called 'Y tu mamá también' and it's a Mexican movie. It was awarded a prize for Best Script at the Venice Film Festival 2001. So, we'll let you know how it was.

"Y tu mamá también" is a nice movie! I really liked it. We had some good laughs with it. It's about two guys (17 years old or so) who are, like, losers. They are good friends. Once their girls are on a vacation, they decide to take an aunt of one of them (she must have been 24 years old or so) on a trip to a 'made-up' beach, just to have sex with her (yes, real losers they are...). What follows is... Ah well, just watch it, it's great fun.

I once saw a weird movie in an independent theatre: Los amantes del circulo polar.
My favorite movies are: Trainspotting, Highlander, Blade Runner, Dances with wolves, Naked, Seven years in Tibet

I like a lot of the sci-fi/fantasy genre movies... Matrix, X-Men, Star Wars, lotr, Crouching Tiger, The Princess Bride, James Bond... I also like everything so far by Night Shyamalan - I thought his latest offering (Signs) was very enjoyable. I also like Shawshank, Amelie and Four Weddings.
Everyone here seems to be a Sixth Sense fan. It really was a wonderful movie. No one had had an ending twister like that for a lonnnnnnng time...

We (Liandra and I, that is) just watched "The Pianist", a WWII movie, which takes place in Warschau. It's a great movie. In the beginning, it's quite funny (though not by purpose, I suppose), but as the movie continues, it's getting sadder and more horrible. You should all watch it. It has won the Golden Palm of 2002 in Cannes.

I actually met the actor who played Mini-Me in the Austin Powers movies yesterday.
The guy is even shorter in person!

There is two movies that are about to be released that I would love to see...
Seabiscuit: The true story of a horse that was blind in its left eye but won the Kentucky Derby...
The Young Black Stallion: This is to be released in those theatres that have the four story high wrap around movie screens...
Its about a young arab girl that finds this wild black stallion and has to win a race with the horse or her grandfather will be thrown out of there house....

Movies I love are:
The Lord of the Rings (I think RotK is the best of the three. Cool dead men!) Hidalgo (Wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it's still good.) Galaxy Quest The Passion of the Christ (A must see for absolutely everybody!!!) Pirates of the Carribean (sp?)

Amelie was nice indeed, very weird film though. Also because of the narrator.
