here i am its 12:30 at night and i just got back from the bookstore. the whole midnight thing was a big marketing ploy and the line was so big i ditched it. but what i did do was fun. i walked around with a copy of tEotW and getting people into WoT and it worked! i got at least one for sure and many others who looked at it interested. i was wearing my stole and made myself a great serpant ring. i didn't get the book, but i decided to wait till the morning and get it with no line.

To my shame ;D I must admit that I also went to a midnight party. But that's because of my firstsister, she saw it in the newspaper and saw that they were matching people and thought that is something for Emma. So we went, we had fun, only there were not many men. And we got our hand read, free drinks etc. We got our books and went home by train, so I was at home at 4 in the morning. I began reading it at 10, finished it at 4 in the afternoon. It was fun to read, but I like jordan, martin etc better:)
Oh I didn't went there in aes sedai dress, because it would be very cold outsite and it's an harry potter feast. And if there would be many 18 + than they can find jordan themselves;)

Well, I am going to read the Dutch version, so I have not bought one yet.
I can also read the Dutch version to the youngsters before they go to bed.
Anyway, when the Dutch versionis released I will in time buy one.

Why not?
HP is brilliant, imo.
I read it in English in perhaps 20 hours (straight reading ;D), and the Norwegian one went in perhaps 16-18 hours.
I liked HP4 better than #5, though... The ending was too long in #5, imho.
