I couldn't find a thread on this subject --hopefully I didn't just look over it or something. Who are everyone's favorite characters besides Nynaeve?
I really like Aram for some reason. He fascinates me.

Hm... I don't think there was a thread about this. How strange...
Anyway, my favourite characters in WoT in somewhat-random order:
Lan, Moiraine, Narishma, Alviarin, Tuon, Min, Faile, Morgase, Tallanvor, Mat (mostly in the later books, I remember I used to hate him when I first read the series), Perrin (in the early books).
I'm sure I must be forgetting many other characters I like. Egeanin for instance... and Melaine. Moiraine's cousin and her Tairen lord.
Oh well, there are just too many of them to mention them all. At least I'm fairly sure I mentioned my most favourite characters.

Ooh! Ooh! I LOVE Narishma...
I also like Aviendha and Min. And I'm betting that, as the books progress, Mat is becoming the most popular WoT character.

My favorite character has to be... eh.. er... it's too many to choose from! Just check this out... A complete character archive for WoT. Some 2-4000 characters, all in all. Who to pick? ***I SUPPOSE THAT EVERYONE WHO READS MY POST HAVE READ ALL 10 BOOKS. IF YOU HAVEN'T, DON'T READ IT!!!!!!!!***Ok, I'll try. I liked Ingtar. He was like the perfect knight. A total shock when he turned out to be a DF, but Ingtar's Last Stand is my fav scene in the books, and that alone makes him a worthy candidate of being tied up with the Horn of Valere. Rand in TGH was also a wonderful character. Before his total megalomaniac tendencies set in, and after he had shed most of his most peasentish features. Gotta love Shadowkiller ;D (Or whatever it was the Wolves named him...) Perrin is also a fav of mine. He was the best in TSR (?) when he went to the Two Rivers to save his kin. One of the saddest scenes in the series is when he finds out that his entire family has been killed "The Trollocs refer to the Aiel Waste as the Dying Fields. I intend to make them apply that name to the Two Rivers." ;D Although many people seem to dislike Faile, I like her. At least she's better than that icky Berelain. I also like Tallanvor (honourable young man, who hopefully will be Prince Consort of Andor one day), many of the Asha'man (esp. the ones who have become Warders), Gawyn (despite his flawed loyalty to Elaida), Egeanin and her Illianer captain), Davram Bashere (not to forget, his wife), Logain, Egwene, Verin, Moiraine, Lan, all the Wise ones, the 400 years old AS, the Maidens, and plenty of others...

Siuan, birgitte, bryne, lan, mat, moiraine, and thom. (the latter not together though) I am having a hard time picturing Moiraine and Thom together, as well. I think Thom is not really the problem, since it was kinda obvious he liked Moiraine a lot (though he didn't want too) in the first few books. Moiraine, though... She's just so cold. I can't really see her caring for anyone (perhaps Siuan... perhaps). Well, we'll see. I won't be suprised if they do end up together. After all, there have been a few matches in WoT that, in my opinion, only were there because the author said they were (Elayne and Rand for instance... I have never seen why they would love each other, Gawyn and Egwene is another pair, but then, they might be right for each other. I never liked either of them, so I am the last person to understand them and see why they would love anyone).

hehehe...Egwene and Gawyn are EXACTLY right for each other. And I have a big problem with Elayne and Rand as well --Min and Aviendha are more-or-less right for him, Aviendha the most, but Elayne is just ridiculous. I don't think I would dislike her if she liked a guy she made sense with.
And I suspect Thom and Moirane is just SUPPOSED to be odd. Like some sort of opposites-attracting thing...

But they aren't opposite(s?) at all! They're really quite alike! That's why it doesn't make sense. The only way I can picture Thom or Moiraine with someone is if that other person is completely different from them. But Thom and Moiraine together... they're both too bossy for that.

I like all the good ones, and hate the bad ones. But it's not really Character-building that's RJ's strongest side; he seems to be better at epic storytelling...
If you like well composed characters, try Robin Hobb. FitzChivalry "Tom Badgerlock" Farseer is one of the best characters I've ever read..

Right now, RJ's strong side seems to be epic story-dragging.

Sad but true. When I read CoT, I always thought "shouldn't the intro be over soon?" cos the entire book seemed like a prologue... And then the book was over. Weird

This is the Myers-Briggs Personality Profiling System: Extravert [E] vs. Introvert Sensing vs. Intuitive [N] Thinking [T] vs. Feeling [F] Judging [J] vs. Perceiving
Everyone has certain percentages of all of these traits, but one side is bound to be higher than the other. There are 16 different combinations. This is my take on some of the characters in WoT. So horribly and unfeelingly classified…
Some of these characters I would never have thought were alike but have the same personality type by this system.
1. ENFJ: Galad, Morgase 2. INFJ: Gareth, Moirane 3. ENFP: Tam, Tylin 4. INFP: Rahvin, Lanfear [same as me…the most beautiful person ever…hmm…coincidence? I think not…] 5. ENTJ: Thom, Birgitte 6. INTJ: Logain, Aviendha 7. ENTP: Taim, Min 8. INTP: Bashere, Berelain 9. ESTJ: Gawyn, Faile 10. ISTJ: Narishma, Siuan 11. ESFJ: Loial, Leane [ww…w…what?!?] 12. ISFJ: Aram, Egwene 13. ESTP: Mat, Elayne 14. ISTP: Lan, Tuon 15. ESFP: Elyas, Nynaeve 16. ISFP: Tallanvor, Moghedian
